Overview

What is Tripo Studio?

Tripo Studio is the browser-based workspace that houses everything covered across this site's feature guides - generation, segmentation, texturing, rigging, retopology, and export - as one connected pipeline rather than separate tools you'd otherwise stitch together. You sign in, generate or upload a model, and every subsequent step (splitting it into parts, applying materials, rigging it for animation) happens in the same tab, on the same asset, without round-tripping through Blender until you actually need to.

It's the product; the individual capabilities are features of it. If you've read our guides on Text to 3D, Segmentation, Texturing, or Rigging, this page is the map showing how they all sit inside one workspace - and the plans and account system that govern access to them.

Getting oriented

A tour of the workspace

The interface stays consistent whichever tool you're using - only the left panel's contents change.

One workspace, the whole pipeline

The left rail is your stage selector; the center is your live 3D preview; the right holds your Assets library and the Property panel for whatever's selected. Everything downstream of generation - segmenting, texturing, rigging - reuses this same layout.

The DCC Bridge in the top bar is worth knowing about early: one-click send-to for Blender, Unity, Unreal, Maya, 3ds Max, Cocos, and Godot, so finished assets skip the usual download-import-fix-scale cycle entirely.

Fit

Who Studio is built for

🎮
Game developers

Smart Mesh topology plus segmentation and rigging cover prop-to-character asset needs inside one workspace.

🖨️
3D-printing hobbyists

Generate, segment into printable sections, export STL/3MF - no separate modeling software required.

🎨
Concept artists & designers

Fast iteration from text or sketch, with texturing tools that push a rough idea toward a finished look quickly.

FAQ

Studio - quick answers

Is Tripo Studio the same as the Tripo API?
No - Studio is the browser workspace for humans; the API is a separate, separately billed service for developers wiring generation into their own apps. See our API guide for that side.
Do I need to install anything?
No - Studio runs entirely in the browser. The only downloads are the optional DCC Bridge plugins if you want one-click sends to Blender, Unity, Unreal, and other tools.
Can I use every tool on the free plan?
The free Basic plan gives limited/trial access to advanced tools like Smart Mesh and segmentation; full access to the complete toolset comes with Professional and up, alongside private, commercial-licensed models.
Where do I start if I've never used it?
Our beginner tutorial walks the whole first-model journey step by step, with screenshots, in about 25 minutes.
What formats can I export to?
GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, USDZ, and 3MF, plus one-click DCC Bridge sends to Blender, Unity, Unreal, Maya, 3ds Max, Cocos, and Godot.
